Acicular Shattuckite in Calcite with Dioptase

Acicular Shattuckite in Calcite with Dioptase, October 2025
Acicular Shattuckite in Calcite with Dioptase · October 2025 collection photograph; identification and locality are supplied descriptions.

Blue shattuckite needles, green dioptase, and pale calcite make a striking reported association from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Provenance: Our sourcing notes describe a short-lived 2016 find in the DRC. We have not independently documented that discovery date or tested a Soul Body Gems specimen, so the date and the identity of each component should be read as reported provenance, not a laboratory conclusion about every piece.

Science and form

Acicular means needle-like. Shattuckite is a blue copper silicate; dioptase is a vivid green copper silicate; calcite is calcium carbonate. These minerals can occur together in copper-rich deposits. Their visible arrangement is compelling, but appearance alone cannot establish a precise formation sequence, the full composition, or a specimen's mine of origin.

Meaning and intention

In metaphysical traditions, shattuckite is associated with honest expression and intuition, dioptase with compassion, and calcite with steadiness. People may use this combination as a personal reminder to communicate with care and remain grounded. These are symbolic interpretations rather than measured properties or medical effects.
