Arfvedsonite

Arfvedsonite
Arfvedsonite, December 2025.

Arfvedsonite is a dark, sodium- and iron-bearing mineral in the amphibole group, also offered in polished beads.

The mineral

It forms monoclinic crystals and occurs in alkaline igneous rocks and pegmatites. Mineral references describe black material, sometimes deep green at thin edges, with a glassy luster and a hardness of about 5–6.

Beads and mixed material

The collection includes an Arfvedsonite bracelet and a bracelet supplied as Garnet in Arfvedsonite. These are collection identifications; the exact mineral assemblage of the beads has not been established by a laboratory report on this page.
