Background
Lemurian quartz is a modern crystal-trade name associated with quartz points bearing noticeable horizontal surface markings. Our May 2024 collection photograph records an old-stock group offered under that name.
Science / Origin / Testing
The mineral is quartz, SiO₂. Quartz crystals can develop natural striations on their prism faces as they grow; such markings do not establish an ancient civilization or prove a special geological age. Lemurian is not a separate mineral species, and old stock describes the collection history rather than a laboratory date. No specific mine is assigned to this group in our records.
Metaphysical Meaning
In contemporary metaphysical traditions, Lemurian quartz symbolizes remembrance, intuition, and connection. Stories of stored wisdom belong to spiritual belief. Some people use the ridged surfaces as a tactile focus during quiet reflection or meditation.
