Orange Hematite Tangerine Quartz (Sweden)
Warm red and orange color glows through sprays of quartz crystals in this small collection offered to Soul Body Gems from Saxrönningen, Smedjebacken, Dalarna, Sweden.
Quartz, hematite and the “tangerine” name
“Tangerine Quartz” describes the orange appearance; it is not a separate quartz species. The supplier describes this material as quartz colored internally by hematite inclusions, rather than a surface coating. An independently cataloged Saxrönningen quartz specimen is also described as orange from hematite inclusions. That locality observation supports the geological possibility, but it is not an analysis of the particular sprays pictured here.
The Saxrönningen locality
Mineralogical locality records list orange quartz at Saxrönningen, worked as a staked claim for mineral specimens. Our source described the pocket for this September collection as very small and now filled in. We have not independently verified the pocket's present access, production history, or whether further specimens could be found there, so rarity and future availability cannot be guaranteed.
Collection notes and care
This September 2025 group has not received a specimen-specific Soul Body Gems laboratory report. Keep crystal points from knocking against harder objects or one another; dust gently with a soft brush and store separately. Locality and inclusion descriptions are supplier information unless confirmed by testing.
