Polyhedral Pyrite
Background
Polyhedral Pyrite highlights the crisp, many-faced geometry of pyrite crystals. Its metallic surfaces make the relationship between crystal growth and natural form especially easy to appreciate.
Science / Origin / Testing
Pyrite is iron disulfide, FeS₂, with cubic symmetry. Cubes, octahedra and pyritohedra, sometimes combined on one crystal, are familiar expressions of its geology; polyhedral describes shape rather than a separate mineral species. A photograph alone cannot establish a specimen’s locality or treatment history. No individual laboratory report is attached to this collection photograph.
Metaphysical Meaning
In contemporary metaphysical practice, pyrite’s meaning often centers on confidence, boundaries and purposeful action. Its reflective geometry can be used as a focus for visualizing steady energy; these are symbolic interpretations, not measured mineral properties.
